For those who dislike point-and-shoot digital cameras that all seem to have the same features, Panasonic's newest model, the Lumix DMC-FX580, provides some options you won't find on most beginner-level cameras.
- A touch screen on a 3.0-inch LCD
- A 25mm-125mm zoom lens, which includes better-than-average wide-angle capabilities
- Face-recognition technology
- 12.1 megapixels of resolution
The DMC-FX580 will be available in black or silver, and it only measures 0.86 inches in thickness. Panasonic expects to begin offering this model in April, with a cost around $400. With that price tag, you'd expect the DMC-FX580 to offer more than your typical point-and-shoot camera, and, in this case, you'd be correct. (Compare Prices)
