When it comes to point-and-shoot digital cameras, Kodak is known for creating inexpensive models that usually fall a little short in terms of features and image quality.
With Kodak's announcement at PMA 09 of the EasyShare Z915, however, the company has definitely added a strong feature to an inexpensive camera. The Z915 includes a 10X optical zoom lens, while carrying a suggested price tag of less than $200. For a model in that price range, having such a strong optical zoom measurement is impressive.
With 10 megapixels of resolution and with four colors available (black, blue, red, and gray), the Z915 should give beginner photographers a nice entry-level model. Users will have to judge this model's image quality once it hits store shelves in April, but its feature set and low price gives it a nice starting point. (Compare Prices)
