When Casio showcased its EXILIM Zoom EX-Z29 line of point-and-shoot digital cameras at PMA 09, the suggested price of $150 was a nice drawing card. When Casio lowered the MSRP by another $10 just after the announcement, the EX-Z29 drew even more attention. (Compare Prices)
The EX-Z29 line, available in five colors (black, blue, pink, purple, and silver), isn't going to provide top-of-the-line photography options. It's designed as an easy-to-use option that looks great, offers a very thin camera body, and is fun to use.
Still, beginner photographers won't be disappointed in the EX-Z29's feature set. It offers 10.1 megapixels of resolution, and its 2.7-inch LCD is wider than most cameras offer. The camera's "Best Shot" mode and "Face Detection" features make it very easy to use. Look for these sharp-looking cameras to be in stores in April.
