Dozens of digital camera announcements grabbed many of the headlines at PMA 09. However, one announcement that flew under the radar actually provides the power behind many new cameras.
Zoran showcased its newest digital camera processor, the COACH 12, at the trade show. COACH 12 includes a variety of options, including advanced noise reduction features, compensation for lens distortion, and lighting correction for HD video, all of which are improvements over previous Zoran processors for cameras.
Many top camera companies make use of COACH processors, including some from Casio, Fujifilm, Kodak, Nikon, Olympus, Samsung, and Sony.
