Samsung recently sent me one the company's newer beginner digital cameras for a review of the SL420. I have to admit, I wasn't overly impressed when I opened the box and took out the basic, black camera.
However, looks were deceiving in this case.
My SL420 review shows a camera that will give beginners an outstanding mix of value and performance. The SL420 carries an MSRP of $179, but you'll be able to find a much lower price on the SL420 by shopping around. (Compare Prices)
At 10.2 megapixels, the SL420 doesn't include as much resolution as many other newer models, and its LCD could be a little bigger. However, with the SL420's price, those drawbacks are minor. I think most beginner photographers will find a good value with the SL420.
