Budget-priced digital cameras typically are easy to use, but they offer below-average features with the low price.
With two of the latest Optio cameras from Pentax, however, the company attempts to match a low price with a list of desirable features.
The Pentax Optio E80 is the more basic of the two cameras, offering 10.0 megapixels of resolution along with a 3X optical zoom lens. It runs from two AA batteries. The buttons on the E80 are large and well marked, making it easy to understand for those new to photography.
The Pentax Optio P80 (pictured here) includes 12.2 megapixels of resolution, a 4X optical zoom lens, and HD movie capture.
Look for both cameras in September. The E80 should cost about $130, while the P80 appears to be a pretty good value at about $200.
