Pentax has added two cameras to its 2010 lineup, adding a waterproof point and shoot model and an ultra-zoom model.
The Pentax Optio W90 is a 12.1 megapixel camera that works in up to 20 feet of water, and it should be available in April with an MSRP of $329.95. The Pentax X90 also offers 12.1 megapixels of resolution, and it has a 26X optical zoom lens. It also will be available in April with a $399.95 MSRP.
These two new Pentax models complement the three Optio cameras the company announced in late January, including the retro-looking Optio I-10. I'll have more detail on all of these new Pentax models in my blog in the next few months.
In addition, Pentax has announced plans to sell 1,000 special edition copies of its K-7 DSLR camera in Japan. The special edition K-7 (pictured here) will include a silver camera body and some feature enhancements. Although it appears this camera will only be sold in Japan, you might be able to track one down on eBay in the next few months.
