With a 26X optical zoom lens, Kodak's latest fixed lens camera, the EasyShare Z981, provides a different look and feature set than the usually small and thin EasyShare cameras.
The EasyShare Z981 includes optical IS, which is important with a large zoom lens. The EasyShare Z981 includes 14 megapixels of resolution, a 3.0-inch LCD, and 64MB of internal memory. If you're used to point and shoot cameras, keep in mind that the EasyShare Z981 is quite a bit larger than those cameras (measuring 4.1 inches in thickness before the lens is extended, as you can see from the photo here). The right-side handgrip should make the Z981 comfortable to hold and use.
The Z981 includes the same photo-sharing features that Kodak offers with all of its EasyShare models, such as easy uploading to YouTube, Facebook, and e-mail. The Easyshare Z981 is only available in black, and carries a $329.95 MSRP. (Compare Prices)
