I recently had a chance to test one of the latest cameras from Sony, the Cyber-shot HX5. This camera is an outstanding model, offering HD video and an in-camera GPS system, which allows for easy geotagging.

The HX5, sometimes called the DSC-HX5V and the DSC-HX5B, is one of the nicer cameras you'll find this holiday season. It also won a TIPA award as the best compact camera earlier this year. The Sony HX5 easily fits into my list of the best cameras under $400.
