With its 12X optical zoom lens and optical image stabilization, the recently announced PowerShot SX130 IS from Canon should work well for long-range nature photography.
The SX130 IS also includes a 3.0-inch LCD, 12.1 megapixels of resolution, and 720p HD video. Look for four special effect modes with this camera -- fisheye, poster, super vivid, and miniature.
The SX130 IS should be available now at an MSRP of $249.99. This model is one of more than a dozen new Canon cameras announced earlier this year, including five models in February, four cameras in January, three cameras in August. and EOS 7DSV DSLR camera.
