Pentax today is announcing two new cameras, along with a limited edition of its recently announced DSLR model. The camera announcements include:
- Optio WG-1. The WG-1 (MSRP $349.95) includes 14 megapixels of resolution and "tough" features, including waterproofing up to 33 feet of water depth.
- Optio WG-1 GPS. The WG-1 GPS ($399.99) adds to the WG-1 features with a built-in GPS unit.
- Silver Pentax K-5 DSLR. The K-5 will be available as a limited edition silver model in April (pictured here). It will cost $1,699.95 with a starter lens. Three additional lenses also will be available in silver (21mm F3.2, 40mm F2.8, and 70mm F2.4). Pentax initially announced the K-5 in black last September.
Additionally, Pentax has announced a new lens for its 645D medium format camera, called the Pentax D FA 645 25mm F4. It will be available in April for $4,999.95.
I'll have more details in my blog on the two Optio cameras closer to their actual release date in April.
