If you're in the market for an advanced, interchangeable lens camera this holiday season, Sony has just announced four high-resolution models, including three that offer 24 megapixels of resolution.

  • a65 DSLR. Like the a77, the a65 features 24 megapixels of resolution (MSRP $900, pictured here).
  • a77 DSLR. Against cameras currently in the market, Sony says the a77 has the fastest continuous autofocus (MSRP $1,400).
  • NEX-5N. The NEX-5N is a compact interchangeable lens camera, building on past NEX models (MSRP $600).
  • NEX-7. Another compact interchangeable lens camera, the NEX-7 features 24.3 megapixels of resolution (MSRP $1,200).

The two DSLR cameras will be available for sale in October, while the NEX-7 will be available in November. The NEX-5N should appear on store shelves next month. I'll have more details on all four of these advanced cameras in my blog closer to their release dates.
