Panasonic today announced that is has developed a twin-lens, 3D digital camera. It will be able to shoot both 3D still images and 3D HD video, as well as 2D video and still images.
The Lumix 3D camera, yet to be named or unveiled, will be a compact camera, according to Panasonic. It will use a pair of 4X zoom lenses with thin optics, allowing a thin camera body.
Panasonic will display the Lumix 3D camera prototype at the IFA 2011 electronics show in Berlin, Germany, running Friday through Wednesday. Specifics about the camera will be released later, and Panasonic expects it to be available for sale in the next several months.
