Sony has introduced two 24.3-megapixel DSLR cameras aimed sales for at this holiday season, the a65 and the a77.
However, the company didn't stop with DSLR models when it came to offering top-end resolution. Its latest DIL camera, the Sony alpha NEX-7, also will offer 24.3MP.
In addition, the NEX-7 features 1080p HD video, an electronic viewfinder, 25-point autofocus, and a high-resolution 3.0-inch LCD.
All of these features are in a camera body that measures only about 1.7 inches in thickness, before you attach the interchangeable lens. The thin camera body is the key design feature of DIL cameras. The NEX-7 is an expensive camera, around $1,200 without a lens (Compare Prices), and it's only available in black, but it's one of the highest resolution DIL cameras currently on the market.
