Gaining a jump on the CES camera announcements has become a common occurrence in the past few years, and Fujifilm has chosen this route in 2012, announcing more than a dozen cameras ahead of the actual CES show that begins Tuesday in Las Vegas.

Many of the new Fujifilm cameras have been available elsewhere in the world previously, and Fujifilm now is making them available in the United States. The new cameras are:

  • FinePix AX550. You'll find 16MP of resolution and a 5X zoom with the AX550 ($90).

  • FinePix F770EXR. The F770EXR ($380) has the same features as the F750EXR, along with a GPS unit.
  • FinePix HS25EXR. A larger image sensor and a 30X zoom highlight the HS25EXR ($400).
  • FinePix HS30EXR. The HS30EXR ($500) includes the same features as the HS25EXR, along with a better viewfinder.
  • FinePix JX500. The JX500 ($100) is a bargain model, with 14MP of resolution.
  • FinePix JX580. You'll find 16MP of resolution and a 3.0-inch LCD with the JX580 ($120).
  • FinePix JZ100. The JZ100 ($130) has an 8X zoom and 14MP of resolution.
  • FinePix JZ250. With a 16MP sensor and a 3.0-inch LCD, the JZ250 ($150) is a good value.
  • FinePix S4200. You'll find a 24X optical zoom with the S4200 ($230), which runs from AA batteries.
  • FinePix S4500. With a 30X zoom lens and 14MP of resolution, the S4500 ($260) also offers AA battery power.
  • FinePix SL300. The SL300 ($300) has a 30X zoom and a 3.0-inch LCD.
  • FinePix T350. The budget-priced T350 ($160) features a 3.0-inch LCD and a 10X zoom.
  • FinePix T400. With 16MP of resolution and a 10X zoom, the T400 ($180) is a good value.
  • FinePix XP50. The XP50 ($200) is a "tough" camera, allowing for use in up to 16.5 feet of water.
  • FinePix XP100. The XP100 ($250) is waterproof up to 33 feet and can survive a fall up to 6.5 feet.
  • FinePix XP150. The XP150 ($280) includes the same features as the XP100, while adding a GPS feature.
  • X-S1. Featuring a 26X optical zoom, the X-S1 (pictured here) will cost about $800.

I'll have more details on each of these cameras closer to their actual release dates, beginning later this month, so check back. Keep any eye on my blog all week for more CES camera announcements as well!
