Do You Own an Olympus Camera?

By , About.com GuideMay 10, 2012

Follow me on:

If you received an Olympus camera recently -- or if you've owned one for quite a while -- please consider sharing your experiences with that camera through a "user review" of an Olympus camera.

Although I have a chance to review quite a large number of cameras, I don't have the time or resources to review every Olympus camera that's manufactured, so I'm hoping those of you reading this site can post your thoughts on cameras you own, which will help all of the site's readers as they're trying to find great cameras to purchase. Good experiences and bad experiences are both welcomed.

Just click the link below to enter your camera's information, which should require only 3-5 minutes. And, if you own a non-Olympus camera, you can find user review forms for other models on the Camera Reviews page.

Bought a 3 megapixel 740 Ultra Zoom new lots of years ago, it was one of the first with 10 times optical zoom. Still have it and it works perfectly,if fact found another on ebay and bought it for a relative, It is one of those few cameras that work so well, you think you are a better photographer than you thought, great lens and the ability to show great detail in when shooting in both light and dark situations, my son liked it so much he bought a newer model and with absolutely no knowledge of photography takes outstanding perfect focus and color and detail pics, Olympus manufactures those little medical gizmos that look down your throat and other private places, maybe that is why their optics are so great

I bought a new Olympus camera several years ago and it never did focus properly. Most of the pictures turned out blurry. It was a digital camera and supposed to be auto focus. Since it was a closeout model Office Max would not take it back as defective. I spent a lot of money on this camera (piece of junk) and would never buy another Olympus camera or shop at Office Max again. I would not recommend either company.

I bought an Olympus EF-350 several years ago. It was my first digital camera and I have been very pleased with the results. It has taken such wonderful pictures that it has made me realize that I have a passion for photography. I’m not sure if it’s skill or the camera but, when I show my photos to people they are quite impressed with them. I’m not sure if it’s skill or the camera but, if it had not been for my Olympus and the high quality results I’ve gotten then I may not have discovered I do have a little skill with photography and that I really enjoy it and am always looking for my next photo op. If and when I decide to purchase a new camera I will look to Olympus as my first choice.

I’ve had an Olympus SP590UZ since it first came out. I am in a wheelchair and the zoom is a godsend. I does outstanding super macros too. I love it.
