Advanced point and shoot cameras with top-end features continue to grow in popularity, and Sony has just released an interesting model that fits squarely into this category.
The Sony Cyber-shot HX20V carries quite a few features that will appeal to both beginner and intermediate photographers, although the unit's $399.99 MSRP (Compare Prices) might leave some beginners looking elsewhere.
With the HX20V, which is called the HX20 in some parts of the world, you'll find 18.2 megapixels of resolution, a 20X optical zoom lens, a 3.0-inch display, and full 1080p video capabilities. In addition, the HX20V can shoot in a 3D mode.
I really enjoyed the Sony Cyber-shot HX5V when I reviewed it a few years ago, and the HX20V looks like a model that's improved quite a bit over that one. If the HX20V fitin your budget, it's well worth considering.
