Pentax made a very interesting announcement at CES 2013 that may significantly change the way customers think about how they purchase their digital cameras.
If you're tired of only having the option of black or silver in your cameras, the Pentax Q10 DIL camera now can be customized in any of 100 color combinations, as Pentax announced at CES 2013 earlier in the week.
The Pentax Q10, which was released last year, was one of my favorite cameras in 2012 and the additional color options should make it even more appealing to consumers. If this proves to be a popular option, look for other camera makers to quickly follow suit. Photographers soon may be able to customize other options in certain cameras, too, and the entire market could undergo a dramatic shift, so it's worth watching how the colorful Q10 is received.
