With a 26X optical zoom lens, the recently announced Olympus SP-720UZ camera is a powerful model with good wide angle and telephoto capabilities.
You can use the SP-720UZ to shoot 1080p HD video or still images at 14MP of resolution. There's also a 3D still image mode, as well as a series of "magic filters," which can provide in-camera special effects. Olympus included a high-resolution 3.0-inch LCD with this model.
Olympus hasn't yet announced plans to offer the SP-720UZ in the United States, but you can find it elsewhere in the world at an MSRP of $399. (Compare Prices) It's available in a black camera body with silver trim or a silver camera body with black trim.
