This makes an excellent vacation camera because it is small and easy to use in the point and shoot mode. The image quality is exceptional. The images from this camera contain very low noise, except when shot at 800 speed. However, noise at that speed is normal.

The menu system can take some time to learn and may be difficult for the beginner to understand. There are a lot of adjustments available, including 15 scene modes that are useful, once you learn to navigate the menu system.

The swivel LCD monitor allows images to be captured with the camera at any angle, which is particularly helpful when the photographer can’t be behind the camera.
