The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T100 digital camera has everything the latest models offer when it comes to basic features. It has a nice design, and has an easy-to-hold and easy-to-shoot build. It's an attractive and compact camera 8.1-megapixel, that comes in metallic silver, black and red.

Beyond that, Sony has taken the compact, high-megapixel camera just an extra step on a few points.- HDTV in Camera - The main stand-out feature is the ability to directly connect your camera to an HDTV set for stunning picture viewing, and you can view HDTV slideshows of images with background music. Why on earth this requires an optional accessory is beyond me, since it's the key unique feature of this camera. It's also a shortcoming that they didn't allow for video HD output as well.
- Zoom - Instead of the too-common and unimpressive 3x optical zoom typically found, it features a Carl Zeiss 5x optical zoom that is a nice extra on a compact camera. One of the key shortcomings of the popular compact cameras is they perform poorly when you need to get close up from far away.
