Definition: EXIF data is information about a photo that's stored with the photo, such as date, time, and camera settings. The EXIF data is stored as metadata and is embedded inside the photo file. You can use special software to pull the EXIF data out of the file to read it.
EXIF is short for exchangeable image file format.
