memory card is a small, flat, electronic device that fits inside a digital camera and is used to store data about digital images. Several different brands of memory cards exist, and digital cameras can only use a specific brand or brands. Each brand is a different size, and most memory cards are not interchangeable.
Most memory cards range in size from a quarter to a half-dollar to a stick of gum, although the exact size and shape of each memory card depends on the brand. Memory cards use flash memory technology to store data, and they have no moving parts.
