Find your image, then double-click on it

Now, you need to find the photo on your hard drive. If you have Windows XP, odds are you want to click on "My Documents," and then "My Pictures," and then find the proper directory there. If it only displays a list of file names, you may want to click the "View Menu" box, which is second from the far right and inside your "Open" pop-up box. When you find the proper image, double click on it.

This step is crucial. You must rename your photo. While you want small images for e-mail or Web, you certainly want to retain your original image size for decent prints. Once the image is open, click "File," and then "Save As." At the top, you can use the pull-down menu if you want to change the location on your hard drive. Type the new file name (perhaps even just appending "copy" or "resized" to the original file name), and click the "Save" box on the bottom right.
