I really love this camera, as it has some of the features of a more advanced DSLR but with a fixed lens.
I can set the camera in manual mode and adjust the shutter speed and f stops, and I can take pictures in really low light without the need of using the flash.
This camera is also great for taking landscape/nature photography in the day, as the image clarity is by far the best I have found on a digital camera to date.
It also has an auto stitch for the "panorama mode." You take your pictures, and it will stitch the image together in the camera. (I suggest you use a tripod for doing this, as the results are best when using one).
Yes, I do highly recommend this camera to my friends who are looking to get a new camera.
The camera also has an electronic viewfinder, so you can turn off the 3-inch LCD display and use the viewfinder for your shots. This is a feature I really like, especially on bright sunny days.
Camera "pros"
Easy to learn, has a great number of features found on the more advanced DSLR cameras. Builds the "panorama mode" in the camera, so you do not have to use an outside software program.
Camera "cons"
Sunrise and sunset pictures are not so hot. The camera, for some reason, does not capture the colors you see in the sky with your eyes.
