I bought this printer, thinking it would be a savings on ink, but after printing one large printing in black ink, the ink gauge showed that it took quite a bit of ink. Reading other reviews, I don't think it's going to be a savings at all. Trouble is, I bought two of these printers -- one for the wife and one for myself. Looking back, my father was a great one for bragging on Eastman Kodak. It used to be a great name, but, as of now, I wouldn't buy anything at all with the name of Kodak on it. I guess we will put them in a garage sale and see if we can get a little of our money back. If they do sell, I will tell them my feelings, as both printers have the new ink in them, so if we sell them cheap enough and tell our experience with the printers, or just give them as a gift, we may get rid of them. If you want a good printer, buy a Canon. The MP530 series is a good one. It is a little pricey for the ink, but it's the very best printer I have ever owned, and I have had several over the years. I hope this will be of some help to a new buyer of a color printer.
