I bought two of these cameras -- one for me and one for my daughter. Within a few months, both cameras suffered "lens errors," where the lens would not completely open and the LCD just read "lens error" -- of course, while I was on my Hawaii vacation. Their customer service was less than helpful. They repaired one, but wanted $80 to fix the second -- being just over 6 months old. I only paid for $149 for it new! I have never encountered less helpful people in customer service. They act as if you are doing them a favor. You'd think in this economy they'd be a little more helpful, yet there is no interest at all. I am now looking for an SLR, but I will never buy another Nikon product.

Camera "cons"
Frequent "lens failure" where the lens will not protract, and you can not take a picture. The worst customer service I have ever encountered.
