My Review 

A camera with an impressive presence. Looks like a DSLR and is very easy to use with the preset modes. The zoom is the icing, but a tripod is mandatory. The Sport mode and panorama are most impressive. A very good entry level serious camera.

Camera "pros" 

The mind blowing 36X zoom. Excellent video, especially the high speed option. The many preset options, especially the Sport mode.

Camera "cons" 

Very tacky and poor quality USB connector: The metallic part just slipped out of the plastic casing. Extremely poor battery life. Recharging takes 5 long hours. Very often the camera just refuses to switch on. The macro is not very good, cannot take real closeups.
