It was purchased used; it has been working great for over a year now. The body is very sturdy and has a good feel to it. I don't know if there are any types of adapters where the new SD cards could use as the compact flash.
Camera "pros"
It felt more comfortable than the Rebel EOS that I looked at first
Camera battery lasts a long time
Camera "cons"
Does not take videos
Uses the old compact flash memory card
Onboard flash is weak
Is this camera easy to use?

Thanks for the review -- used cameras can have a lot of value to them, so it's good to hear about a successful experience with one! By the way, there are CF to SD memory card adapters out there, just search for "CF to SD adapter" on Google. The biggest thing to keep in mind is that your CF card slot on your Canon is wide enough to accept the adapter. If you have a good local photography store, you may be able to start there in finding an adapter. Good luck!
