I love my Pentax K1000 film camera. It was my first manual camera, where I could change pictures how I wanted them to look.
This was a thrilling experience.
The body of the camera is metal, giving a weight and feeling of solidness to the unit.
This tough body also allowed me to drop it a couple times and keep on shooting, and the pictures came out just fine. Today I can take very nice 35mm pictures. The construction is not beautiful, but it was practical like it should be with weight and balance.
Like the proverbial teddy bear to hug, that is my K1000.
I rate it a "5."
Camera "pros"

Camera "cons"
