I replaced two Pentax bodied film cameras. As an amateur, I wasted a lot of time and money on development, now I shoot all the parties for my local pub and friends, providing CDs of highly successful quality photos. A lot of that's down to me, but it could not be achieved without this superb tool!
I extended its use with a Sigma70-300mm F4-5.6DG macro lens and a Jessops branded 300AFD flashgun.
Camera "pros"
Having moved from film, I loved the cost savings.
Simple to use.
Although perhaps outdated by modern specs, its "mere" 6MP of resolution, even in JPEG form, produces superb results for day-to-day use.
Using a self-powered flashgun, well over 1,000 shots are easily possible with one set of Li-ion AA batteries.
Camera "cons"
Using a newer camera might offer faster shooting?
