June 2009My Review
It's a K10D with an 18-250 SMC lens. I bought the body and found the lens a week later. I spent two days on vacation in San Francisco with my new gear and took over 1,000 photos. Most were show quality, some not so good. Two months later, I took it to Boston and Maine, and I took another 1,000 photos. I love this package!I have owned the Pentax K100D and also a ME-Super with Autowinder with a 28-80 and 80-205 lenses. I have been a true Pentax fan for the body and lens package. For point and shoot, I carry every day a Nikon P60, which I bought on a lark, which works well as a constant companion camera.
The K10D is a dream, although I am still trying to learn all about it. The one lens is so versatile, and I don't chance dirt/dust entry onto the image sensor by not having to change lenses. It covers my needs. I'll get a longer lens when I start talking pictures of the man on the moon! ;)
Hoya now owns Pentax, and their presence is dwindling, in my opinion, as it's more difficult to get accessories locally since the Wolf Camera chain dropped then.
Pentax is still top flight, in my humble opinion.
