2010 and 2011My Review
I needed an almost pro camera, with a bigger lens that's able to work in darker conditions, not only for photos, but for small movies. On the other hand, I did not want to carry a big camera, so I was ambitious expecting big camera photos and movie shots, without using a big camera. First I had the sony H55, amazing. The wide landscape new resource was something incredible also.
My camera was stolen, so I bought the same model, improved, the Cyber-shot H70, In this one, the wide screen landscape resource was improved.
The movie shots also. The only problems I could not deal well with was to take pictures under inside lamps, mainly those of shopping centers and hotels and offices. The color balances don´t work well under those artificial lights -- that is a digital camera problem. And I think Sony could improve the fact that there's too much distortion on their cameras. To avoid that, only using total zoom (that makes critical focus) or take the photos at a good distance. The Cyber-shot H70 is one of the best "popular" cameras between the range the market offers today, at a very affordable price.
Camera "pros"
16.2 megapixels, greater luminosity on bigger lens, very easy to handle and I walk with the camera almost everywhere I go.
Camera "cons"
It is slow to focus. It is slow, too, to recharge.
Not recomended for people who are in a hurry to take a photo -- you must turn the H70 on, wait a few seconds, must really half-press the shutter to give time for the focusing system, keeping the shutter button half-pressed, and then pressing it totally.
