2005My Review
This little workhorse is so reliable and takes such exquisite photos, I intend to buy them whenever I see them in good condition.
At this time, I have three. I have had others. One, I just wore out. One, I accidentally drowned, and another I nearly drowned in a sink accident, but my husband, being "techy," dried it out for me and we were back in business.
I have a "bigger" Sony. I took it and my three W50s, which saved the trip, since there was a fatal problem with the bigger camera. I took 1,500 photos on that trip and not one was bad.
I do a lot of macro photography, and this is the perfect accompaniment to a larger format camera. The Zeiss lens is exceptional, and the size isn't intimidating to butterflies, insects, reptiles, and other small animals.
I carry this camera everywhere I go.
It's a simple point and shoot, and I have taken very beautiful photographs with it. I haven't tried the newer ones, although I use a T-11 in a Pelican case when I'm kayaking.
Camera "pros"
Excellent lens for macros, dependability, non-intimidating size for macro subjects with legs.
Camera "cons"
The flash can be harsh, but it's readily fixed with a small piece of toilet paper or a lollipop wrapper.
