It was lost on Monday, Oct. 4, 2010, sometime between 2 and 3 p.m.
Where Exactly Was the Camera Found / Lost?
It was lost at Arkadia Mall (Corniche el Nile Rod el Farag) in Cairo, Egypt. It could be anywhere in the mall but, most likely, around the restaurant on the ground floor (where we spent most of the time). The camera was not inside any bag. It's just the plain camera with its battery and a 4GB memory card inside. Or maybe it got lost somewhere between the mall and Fairmont Nile City Hotel (which is just less than 100 meters from the mall).
Lessons Learned
- Do mark your camera and include contact details for quick return (such as the cell number you have with you at the time)
- Include your contact details on a picture in your memory card (in case the card and camera follow different paths)
- Be careful
