Where Exactly Was the Camera Found / Lost?
My family and I were travelling from Jaipur, India, to Delhi, India. I strongly believe it was left behind at the security check area in the Jaipur Airport. Although, there is a slight possibility that it was lost somewhere else within the Jaipur Airport, on our Jet Airways flight from Jaipur to Delhi, or at the Delhi Airport.
Lessons Learned
- Constantly check that your most valuable items are still with you.
- Make a note of which valuable items you should check to make sure you have them with you after collecting your belongings at security check.
- Avoid early morning flights if possible, so that you are completely alert when in the airport.
- Travel lightly. Take as few carry-on items as possible.
- Upload photos to laptop daily when traveling. This was a fleeting thought a few days before losing my camera, and I now deeply regret not acting on it.
- Avoid taking pictures on the last day of your trip. Simply pack your camera away.
