Did You Find a Camera? Or Did You Lose a Camera?
Lost
Describe the Camera, Such as Brand/Model/Color.
Samsung HZ15W camera, dark gray, almost black. Had a black belt-clip pouch with a velcro flap. The last photo taken was on Sept. 24, 2011; it is me and my mom at the airport in Houston.

When Approximately Was the Camera Found / Lost?
Somewhere between 6:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011.
Where Exactly Was the Camera Found / Lost?
My last known use of the camera was in the Houston International Airport (IAH). I arrived at USAirways gate A11 in Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport (PHX) and walked to gate B26 where I stayed with my mother for about an hour, then went to my gate at B19 where I waited another hour (and got a Cinnabon next door -- man those things are good!). I'm pretty sure I had it all the way to USAirways terminal B19 as it helped me support the Cinnabon as I ate it from the container resting on my lap/camera pouch. But the belt clip probably got loosened and the camera, sitting in a black canvas belt clip pouch, was probably among the chairs at USAirways terminal B19 at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport. I realized as soon as I boarded the plane for Burbank that my camera was not with me, but they had already begun pulling back the jetway. I tried to communicate to the attendant that I had lost my camera, thinking, of course, that she would locate it immediately and send it onward to my destination -- but such was not the case...
Lessons Learned
- Always check yourself before moving from one place to the next and use the more secure belt to clip the camera pouch to, not the pocket. Better still would be to pack the camera in my larger carry on bag as I normally do, though I wanted access to it for photos -- the last photo is of me and my mom at the airport.
