Where Exactly Was the Camera Found / Lost?
The camera was lost in Idaho Falls, Idaho, during a motorcycle trip. It was last used to take pictures at a local park. The next stop was a gas station where we filled our motorcycles. We drove about 15 miles up the road and stopped to take some more pictures, when I realized that I didn't have my camera anymore. We back tracked and asked the attendent at the gas station, but no one had turned one in. There were very high winds on that day and it was a holiday weekend. The camera was not in a bag or case, and I was keeping it in the pocket of my motorcyle jacket. When I realized it was missing, the pocket was not zipped up. I would really love to recover the camera, it had hundreds of pictures of my cross country trip.
Lessons Learned
- Place an identifying sticker or label on the camera
- Always make sure that you have it before leaving
- Download or transfer photos from memory card at the end of each day to avoid losing valuable pictures
