Describe a Favorite Photo Shot With That First Camera

My second child was almost 1 year old when I received the camera, so I have a great photo of her with frosting from her "Blue's Clues" cake all over her face. ;)

My First Digital Camera's Brand, Model, and Specs

Kodak DC215 Zoom, about 1 megapixel, 2X zoom lens, maybe a 1-inch LCD

Why, How, and When I Switched From Film to Digital

I love new technology and digital cameras were intriguing to me. I also love photography, even though I'm not a very good photographer, so digital cameras were the perfect mix for me. I could shoot poor photos & just delete them, rather than waste money on prints of poor photos.

Lessons Learned

  • Make sure you shoot digital photos that you plan to print with enough resolution
  • Do your research to find a great camera model, but don't be afraid to "pull the trigger" and make the purchase. In other words, don't wait and wait for a better deal, or you'll miss out on a few months of enjoying your new camera.
  • I wish I had started shooting digitally sooner!
