"Freedom Against the Sunset"

What Type of Camera and/or Lenses Did You Use?

Fujifilm FinePix-s, 18X optical zoom, 5.0-90.0mm lens

What Was the Weather Like? What Was the Lighting Like?

It was dark, just before sunset, with high clouds and a little mist. Just enough light, I think, to make a good shot. It was a little chilly with some fog over the swamp across the road, and a slight wind from the west, but not enough to open the flag. That's OK, because I think it added some charecter to the overall picture.

Advice

  • I would have taken it a little sooner, when there was more light, but I think it turned out great.

If You Remember, What Were the Camera's Settings?

I had it on my custom camera setting for this particular shot

What Type of Planning Was Needed to Set Up This Photo?

I just saw it and had to take it

Why Is This One of Your Favorite Photos?

Because I thought it had so much meaning, depending on how you take the picture in and look at it. Or, to some, it just looks like an American flag in the sunset.

What Did You Learn About Photography With This Photo?

I'm always learning everyday -- it could have had a little more light, but it worked, I think.

Kyle Schurman, Digital Cameras Guide, says:

That's a great looking photo, with a lot of emotion in it -- thanks for uploading it!
