I used a Nikon Coolpix L22 model.
What Was the Weather Like? What Was the Lighting Like?
It was a cold to warming day. But this picture was taken inside of the church that I attend. As I remember, the morning was cloudy, but later that day it cleared off. Inside the sanctuary was rather on the dull side. But spirits were high with enthusiasm of the season.
Advice
- I don't think that I would have done anything any different. The shot turned out really well for a short notice shot. This picture was taken after the church service was over on Christmas Day.

Nothing was actually planned for this shot. It "just happened."

The mother and son were framed really well. The son had a very pleasant smile and was easy to work with.
