What Type of Camera and/or Lenses Did You Use?

I was shooting with a Nikon D50, 18-55mm lens with a 52mm adapter.

What Was the Weather Like? What Was the Lighting Like?

The weather was fair, mostly natural lighting, other than a slight color adjustment using "photoscape." When I took this photo, I was flying in a Boeing 717, taking off from Missouri and heading back to North Carolina. The altitude was around 8,000 feet at the time. I had a window seat, looked out, and loved the way the sky and wing of the plane seemed to connect.

Advice

  • I don't really have to much advice, except, always have the camera ready and keep your eyes open, because there are so many beautiful things in this world, so always be on the look out for them.

If You Remember, What Were the Camera's Settings?

I was shooting in manual. The shutter speed was at 1/2500 and f-Stop was at 4.8 with a direct sunlight white balance.

Why Is This One of Your Favorite Photos?

This is one of my favorites because it displays some of the true beauty of this world.

What Did You Learn About Photography With This Photo?

I learned that to capture a bright photo in high light, you need a fast shutter speed, so it wont be over exposed.
