What Was the Weather Like? What Was the Lighting Like?
It was a clear sunset and a clear evening. Very cool weather. It made for a great sunset and the sliver of the moon was just right near the western horizon, which gave the photo an interesting look, at least to me. ;-)
Advice
- I did have to shoot several shots as I didn't have my tripod handy, and camera shake was an issue at that time of the evening, with very little light.
- I also had to do some cropping on the photo. I perhaps could have cropped it a little tighter to make the moon more prominent.

What Type of Planning Was Needed to Set Up This Photo?
No planning at all, I just happened to step outside, saw the moon near the sunset, and ran back inside to grab the camera.
