What Type of Camera and/or Lenses Did You Use?

Canon PowerShot SD880 IS

(Non-professional)

I used a friend's camera, not mine. Boy, I wish I had one of my own.

What Was the Weather Like? What Was the Lighting Like?

The weather was cool and sunny. I was in Lake George when I took the picture. Little did I know how vibrant the colors would appear and as soon as I took it, I just fell in love with it. I am a 15-year-old who has no knowledge of photography, yet loves taking pictures of obstacles that draw attention, such as this.

Advice

  • I'm a 15-year-old that spotted the flower, and I just needed to take a picture. I used my good sense of eye coordination and simply took the photo. The camera was a regular digital camera, and it turned out to be a beautiful photo!

If You Remember, What Were the Camera's Settings?

No planning, it was a coincidence on a friend's camera

Why Is This One of Your Favorite Photos?

It wasn't planned, and it makes my day every time I glance at it. The vibrant colors cause happiness to stroll through my body.

What Did You Learn About Photography With This Photo?

I learned to love what you do. When taking the photo, I loved the scene, and then I started to love taking pictures. I don't need a fancy camera, I just take the pictures as I discover them.

Kyle Schurman, Digital Cameras Guide, says:

You have a very nice photo here ... and even a better attitude about photography! It can be easy for veteran photographers to worry about all of the settings and lighting, while forgetting about the excitement and joy in capturing a great photo. Thanks for sharing it!
