A March study from Koncept Analytics says most of the growth in the worldwide digital camera market is occurring among digital SLR models.
Digital SLR cameras, such as the Sony DSLR A900 that's shown here, are growing in sales most quickly in China, India, and Eastern Europe, according to the study, called "Digital SLR Cameras Driving Growth of the Digital Camera Market."
Koncept Analytics says digital SLR cameras recently accounted for 7.5 million sold units annually, matching the highest number of film SLR cameras ever sold in a year. Digital SLR cameras own several advantages over beginner-level, point and shoot digital cameras, such as better image quality, more versatility, and better response times. On the down side, they're far more expensive than point and shoot models.

It is no suprise that digital camera sales are going up. Previously people were put off by the cost of film and processing and the mediocre results that they got from so called photo labs. Now after the financial layout of a camera and pc they have no more expenses and much more control over the results.
I wonder could you do a feature on the possibility of using your Old Slr Film Camera Lenses, like Wide Angle and Telephoto on Digital Camera Slr’s also Bellows and Extension Tubes. Is there are Compatibility between the Two without to much trouble.
Nowadays, everybody is switching from normal PnS digital cameras to digital dslr cameras. I guess one of the main reason of switching is the price factor. During yesteryears, those dslr are really pricey, but now, the price has gone down and it seems that the price difference between PnS camera n DSLR is not that significant anymore. So why settle for less if you can get more satisfaction using a dslr with a little price different.
