The Leica rangefinder camera system has its roots in film photography dating back to 1954, but the latest model includes all of the advantages of digital photography.
The Leica M-E rangefinder camera is one of the smallest full-format cameras available in the market. It has a CCD full-format 35mm image sensor that carries 18MP of resolution. The M-E can accept most Leica interchangeable lenses.
The M-E allows photographers to use a 2.5-inch LCD or an optical viewfinder to frame photos. The M-E makes use of a rangefinder to measure the distance to the subject, allowing the camera to achieve the sharpest focus.
Look for the M-E to be available now in a dark gray color with black and silver trim. However, this camera isn't for everyone, as it has an MSRP of around $5,500. (Compare Prices)
