Q: Which do you recommend, the Nikon D90 or D5000 or any Canon EOS Rebel cameras? --A.E.
A: Any of many variations of this question -- Which camera should I buy? -- is the most common question I receive, often asking for recommendations or choices on a particular model. I don't want this to sound like a wishy-washy answer -- even though it probably does -- but I cannot make those types of choices for you. Here's why.
Every person's camera needs are different. I might know which camera will work best for me, but your needs are probably different from mine. You are better served by making a list of features that you really want in a camera, and then finding a few good models that meet those needs.
If at all possible, you also need to personally try out any camera before you buy it, just to make sure it's comfortable for you to hold and use.
What I can do for you is help you find cameras of good quality, through digital camera reviews and through articles listing the best cameras at a variety of price points. Check the digital camera blog for information on the latest cameras and accessories. Stick to top camera manufacturers, do some homework ahead of time, and you'll have no problem finding a digital camera that will work well for your needs.
