Frames Per Second (fps)

Definition: Frames per second, or fps, are the number of frames the digital camera can record in one second, either in still image continuous shooting mode or in movie mode. You'll often see "fps" in the specifications for movie mode. The camera might be able to shoot 720p HD video at 30fps, for example.
