My Review

I've owned my Nikon D80 for a few years now. It is easy to use, IF you use it often and use the menu often enough to figure out the controls. I also own the 18-200mm VR Nikkor lens. Though a great lens for telephoto, I found that this lens has one fault: It tends to extend out by itself when it is pointed downward. After asking our local Nikon sales person/user himself about this situation, he stated that that was the one thing a lot of owners of this lens had found fault with it. So if you're pointing the lens down to shoot a flower from above, be aware that the lens will self extend just as you're trying to shoot a photo. I have since bought and used the wide-angle, 50mm 1.8g Nikkor lens with my D80 and love them all. I also have a Nikon point and shoot but rarely use it, unless I need to take a less bulky camera in my purse for quick shots.

Camera "pros"

Small body style for my small hands/fingers.

Lighter than the D3, etc.

Great photos.

Shoots both RAW & JPEG at the same time, if needed.

Camera "cons"

Need flash extender for the 18-200mm lens, otherwise there is a dark curve on the lower half of your photo.
