It had been quite awhile since I had done any serious shooting, and when I decided to get back into photography, I was honestly feeling a little intimidated by all of the new terms being used in the new world of digital photography! I spent a lot of time in the local electronics store, holding the various models and reading any available reviews on each. I already owned a Sony digital video camera and was more than pleased with the quality of construction, as well as the quality of the video. Also, when I first became interested in photography several years ago, my first film SLR was a Minolta XG7, and I was very pleased with its performance, so I decided to make my first DSLR a Sony, because they had recently purchased Minolta. That was a little over two years ago, and I have never once regreted that decision. My Sony A300 feels great in my hands, and the menu's are VERY user friendly. Picture quality is top notch. I can't say enough great things about this camera!
